Good Bye 2016

My long awaited day is being mended high above, the year is coming to an end. Pheuks!!

I know what you thinking, I am losing it.
Yeah sure I can't wait for the lights, the smokes and more so the countdown.
10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2..HAPPY NEW YEAR.
After the countdown or during it I'll receive couple of calls wishing me a great year.
I pray that all call will be 'anointed' cause I sure need a good 2017.

Did I mention it will just  calls or texts.mmmhhh..so I'm not expecting any new year 'special' text from that 'special' one.

This year has been a year, not an ordinary year but one of a kind.I can describe it in one word, GROWTH YEAR, sorry two words I mean.

Growth meaning, I have been attending some serious classes of life, experiencing the fullness of paying the prize, I admit the fees were not as much as the teaching.
I can't tell how many times I wanted to quit this school but I couldn't cause I had taken an oath to accept and be stretched to my maximum potential.

Each class comprised of both the theory and the mother of all 'practical' part which I have to say I kinda loath.

So below are some of the lessons I got.

1.I'm not a child no more.
A picture was going round showing a crying baby along side was a message saying the '90s babies are not babies anymore.
I was frustrated as I knew time is really flying especially once you start attending this society events like baby showers, wedding of friends, burials and so forth, then reality checks.
The Bible says ' when I was a child I behaved like a child but now I am no more a child and I have to separate myself from the childish ways' .
Growth has to be there so we all need to embark on our next level of adulthood.

2.God stretches those He loves.
I love the story of Job, this guy went through hell on earth but God was still with him. He allowed the devil but Job was too big to be allured but instead pressed on to Him, the Almighty God

This year might have been the craziest but I can assure you He who is on the throne has full knowledge of the craziness, therefore even when you want to give up, DONT, cause He is still by your side.

3. The Consequences remain.
I know this might sound like I'm the doom prophet but hear me please.
The consequences remain.
Sure we not perfect, we have our flaws and we still healing but I'll say this for a fact its better prevention than cure.
It takes so much time from recovering from a past mistake than if there was no mistake at all.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins and we are free indeed but under no circumstances should you take advantage of being the one crucifying Him again and again cause of our foolishness.

3.Healing is painful but worth it.
Pain is comfortable, most of us love pain, we hate it but we love it. That sounds like a grammatical error but true.
Being used to something no matter the effects conceives comfort so many a times we hate the healing process cause it is uncomfortable but required if we should live a fulfilling life.
Let's  heal from our wounds, scars and horrors  for that is what our Daddy wants for us to be the light of the world.

4.You don't have to be always RIGHT
I have a big personality and being wrong is not in my dictionary, therefore if I'm talking to the likes then know that you are not Him.Its only Him, Jesus, that was blameless, sinless, in other words He was the only Perfect Man.
We with His help work towards perfection and perfection comes with imperfect realities.
Its okay to be wrong sometimes, its okay to laugh at your own mess at times, its okay to be lost sometimes, as long as you are still on course.
Dont kill yourself over the mess you still can't figure out, let Jesus take the wheel.

5.Take a time out.
Since you cannot change some of the things that happen, it's okay to act out.
I personally found this to be therapy.
Take time off the pressure,  craziness of life and reflect on everything.Cry it out to God, He is the only one that can truly help.
Do not overstretch it and do not do anything without critically thinking through.
Be alert and let God be in control of you.

6.Know that You Only Live Once.
This is like my tagline, you only live once so why waste time on the past that you can't  change, we are a new creation whatever happened yesterday God has forgiven you already so dust off, rise up and let's chase the medals of Godliness, Purity, Righteousness, and move with Gods vision for the Kingdom.
Our pasts is behind us but we are in control of the results of our future.
You only live once dear ones.
.
I will end by saying, 2016 was still an  amazing year. Been stretched, strengthened, challenged, restored and healed because what awaits me is great.
Next year will be a yet amazing year with Gods favour, love, peace and all spiritual blessing.
Let's all be ready for He is not a man that He should lie.
He keeps His word.

Happy new year everyone.

Love you,

Imelda.
